My experience with venue management began in 2012 when I transitioned from a projectionist to a House Manager at the UW-Milwaukee Union Film Cinema. There I performed sound-checks and set up for annual film festivals, series, live performances, and traveling filmmakers. I did this for the theatre for several years, wherein cinema attendee head counts, box office management, and operational duties also compromised my day-to-day.
Since then I have MC-ed FemFest music events, worked as Box Office Staff and then Box Office Manager for the Milwaukee Film Festival, as Venue Manager for Freeland Film Festival, and with UW-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education Conference Services as an event and spatial manager.
See my experience and ongoing tenure with these events as a contracted venue management professional in the list provided. Contact me with questions about 1099 forms or contractual work via the email in the footer.
