EVENT + PATRON SERVICES
As a creative and a lover of hospitable environments for learning, I've come to work in a number of gallery, museum, and events services positions. My first dates back to my days as a young adult working in the Fox Cities Children's Museum (Building for Kids) as Children's Services. Between setting up parties, doing science/art demos, and monitoring exhibits, I became acquainted with visitor and museum services.
Later while attending UW-Milwaukee myself and a group of artists known as the Foxglove Collective formed Foxglove Art Gallery at 810 E Locust in Milwaukee. There we promoted and hosted gallery exhibitions, opening receptions, poetry readings, and craft sales. Handling artwork that was to be sold with commission to the gallery required curation, handling, preparation, and proper maintenance.
From 2014-2018 I worked as Conference Services Manager for UW-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education as well, where I was an AV and event aide, and then served as a Manager from 2016-2018.

As manager I worked as a liaison between the catering department, the educational programming staff, conference and event organizers, internal leadership, custodial, and student worker staff.
My job was to collect itineraries for events and make sure all spaces were set up with correct configuration for the next event, maintaining and filing event bookings, and managing the student worker team. This entailed executing change-overs from preceding events, and adhering to the selected room configuration chosen for each event by moving and setting up tables, chairs, catering tables, audio-visual equipment, and extraneous programmatic materials.
